Kneejerk United - GW7 Transfer Suggestions
Welcome back to Kneejerk United, the FantasyPL community team! This is an exercise where we enter a team into the official Fantasy Premier League competition together, with every decision being made as a group.

Gameweek review
As gameweeks go, this wasn't the best for anyone really. Only 19 goals in 10 league matches, three 1-1 draws knocking out many clean sheet points, and Kneejerk United fell heavily in the rankings, as we ended up with 9 points fewer than the average. Once again our captain choice was the wrong way round, as Salah (C) blanked, while Son (VC) scored a goal, kept a clean sheet and had all 3 bonus points.
We had no other big hitters in the side, and in fact our 2nd best player was Dallas from Leeds, simply earning 6 points from a clean sheet. Walker-Peters, who we left on the bench, would have been our joint 3rd best player. Oh well, you live and learn.

-------
Expect weekend report lag. "Daily case counts reflect newly reported cases and may represent cases that were tested in the preceding days, which could significantly impact the count on days when a relatively large number of laboratory reports arrive in one day." SNHD confirmed they are not counting COVID-19 antibody positives into their COVID-19 positive case counts.
Majority of information is pulled from Southern Nevada Health District's COVID-19 dashboard and historical reports.
Our positives are staying stagnant below 500/day, our recovery rate continues to rise (90+% range), and our hospitalizations are remaining stable (under 500). Protect our vulnerable and continue to practice good hygiene habits, including wearing a mask to prevent asymptomatic spread as mandated by Governor Sisolak (onus is on businesses, which we want to keep open, but Metro will not enforce it; OSHA is responsible for mask enforcement by fining the business). To report a non-compliant business through the state, call (702) 486-9020 or (775) 688-3700.
Doctors are doing convalescent plasma therapy treatments and are seeking plasma donors to help those in need. One plasma donation can help five patients. Blood donors can get the antibodies testing done for free.
FDA states 144 trials of therapeutics are underway to treat COVID-19. 457 more are in planning stages. Remdesivir has been FDA approved as a COVID-19 treatment (10/22). Despite recent studies showing that Remdesivir do not help in preventing COVID-19 deaths. Dexamethaaone is FDA approved for emergency base use.
Nevada was approved for the 24-hour test procedure. FDA has approved a 30-minute and a 5-minute testing procedures. UNLV provides the main COVID-19 testing services. The first at-home testing kit was FDA approved on 5/15.
If you live within a 1-mile range of the Wal-Mart on Craig Rd, you qualify for a drone-delivered test kit to your front or back door.
Testing sites require an appointment; some may need to be scheduled by your primary care physician or another authorized provider.
During Thursday (11/5) and Friday (11/6), 8am to noon Silverado High School (1650 Silver Hawk Ave, near Spencer and I-215) will be providing free testing. Source
City Serve coordinates testing sites throughout the valley. Testing is only on Saturdays. Schedule a no-cost test here: https://cityservelv.org/
The antibodies test was approved by the FDA a month ago. UMC, E7 Health and local laboratories are able to conduct antibodies testing. Cost is normally $149+, but your insurance may reimburse you for the test. Check your coverage first. Vitalant/Universal Blood Services will do a free antibody test for any eligible donors.
UMC is able to process 4,000 tests per day. It is encouraged for anyone to be tested. Symptoms are no longer required. Appointment is preferred, walk-up testing is available.
UMC's testing sites are inside Thomas & Mack Center and Cashman Field Center. They can do 1,200 tests per day, Tues-Sat 8am to 4pm. No symptoms, insurance, or citizenship required for testing. Schedule an appointment online through UMC's website (www.umcsn.com). A staff member will contact you back to schedule your appointment. According to their reps, there is no limit how often you can get tested. Sites are walk-in, appointment or walk-up. Both sites now use the self-nasal swab test kits.
UMC updates COVID-19 test guidelines:
New guidelines are to save test kits for those exhibiting symptoms.
See all testing locations on the SNHD website.
All CVS pharmacy drive-thru locations also does testing, no cost should be associated with this test. Validate with your insurance. If no insurance, there should be no charge. Requires an appointment scheduled.
Five months ago, the first vaccine was tested. More than 160 vaccine prototypes are being tested. Clinical trials of the vaccine were administered three months ago. Phase 1 & 2 of trial vaccines have completed with positive antibody results. Phase 3 clinical trials started with 30k volunteers; large test size of 3k vaccine test trials in the UK. Africa started their vaccine trials three months ago. Multiple sources stating to expect an FDA approved vaccine by end of the year.
Of the 100+ vaccines submitted, 22 have made the cut to go through testing and final FDA approval phases (5/15 briefing). The front runner vaccine is conducting human trails (Phase 3 aka final stage), completion date is pending. AstraZeneca is prepared to produce 2 billion doses once the vaccine is FDA approved.
US government is working with four vaccine manufacturers who are in the final phases of vaccine trials, all prepared for massive vaccine output once FDA approval is given. Worldwide, six are in Phase III.
Phase 3 vaccine trials for Vegas has started. Volunteers can call 702-893-8968. Must be 18+. Administered by the Wake Clinical Research Center of Nevada. Source.

2020.10.27 01:41 Monkey_Pirate_Lord Imagining the NRL Over the Past two Decades if the Grand Final Loser Won

Inspired by this idea over on /nba and /afl thought it would be fun to do with the NRL now too. For the sake of sanity scores will just be switched, assuming team performances are mirrored. Man of the match will be awarded to the real winners opposite number. Any playecoach movement (e.g. Cronk to Roosters, Bennett leaving Broncos etc) will still happen and any GF results prior to 2000 will be as per normal.
2000: Roosters 14 def. Broncos 6
Roosters win their first title in 25 years and Freddy gets his first with the Roosters (and 2nd overall). Broncos miss out on getting 3 in 4 years, with Bennett losing his first as a coach after winning the previous 4. CCM - Luke Philips
2001: Eels 30 def. Knights 24
After a stellar season the Eels deliver when it counts and secure their first premiership since 86 after holding off a spirited Knights comeback. Hindmarsh gets a ring, as does Brett Hodgson and Jamie Lyon. Knights players like Danny Buderus miss out and will not get another chance. CCM - Jason Taylor
2002: Warriors 30 def. Roosters 8
Warriors win their first title sending NZ into raptures. Ivan Cleary and Stacey Jones get a ring. Roosters miss out on going 2 in 3 years. CCM - Awen Guttenbeil
2003: Roosters 18 def. Panthers 6
The Roosters avenge their loss from the previous year and win their 2nd title in 4 years. Panthers miss out after waiting for a chance since 91. Players like Ryan Girdler and Craig Gower miss out. CCM - Michael Crocker
2004: Roosters 16 def. Bulldogs 13
Roosters go back to back, the first team since the 97/98 Broncos to do so. Freddy gets his 3rd ring with the Roosters and retires. Ricky Stuart wins second title as coach. Bulldogs are runners up in their first grand final since 98, players like Willie Mason and SBW miss out. CCM - Peter Cusack
2005: Cowboys 30 def. Tigers 16
Cowboys win their first premiership with Thurston getting a ring 10 years earlier than the real timeline. Matt Bowen also gets one. Tigers miss out on their first chance since 89. Players like Benji Marshall and Robbie Farah do not get another chance. CCM - Jonathan Thurston
2006: Storm 15 def. Broncos 8
A Storm outfit led by a fresh faced Cam Smith, Billy Slater, Cooper Cronk and Greg Inglis win the Storm their 2nd overall title, but it is later stripped following salary cap breaches. Lockyer will not get another chance and will eventually retire with 2 rings instead of 4. CCM - Cameron Smith
2007: Eagles 34 def. Storm 8
Storm are unable to go back to back and Eagles pick up their first title since 96. The Stewart brothers get a ring and Lyon gets another after winning with the Eels. Des Hasler gets his first title as coach. CCM - Jamie Lyon
2008: Storm 40 def. Eagles 0
Storm avenge the previous years loss and thrash the Eagles by 40 points, even without Smith. However as with 2006 the title is later stripped due to cap breaches and the biggest margin in grand final history is stricken from the record. CCM - Jeff Lima
2009: Eels 23 def. Storm 16
Eels win their second title of the decade, Hindmarsh gets his 2nd ring, while Jarryd Hayne and Tim Mannah get one as well. Storm lose their 2nd grand final whilst breaching the cap. CCM - Jarryd Hayne
2010: Roosters 32 def. Dragons 8
Braith Anasta captains his side to premiership glory. Wayne Bennett’s move to coaching the Dragons from the Broncos comes up just short. Todd Carney and BJ Leilua get a ring and a few other big name Roosters like Jake Friend and JWH get one, but will not get another to date. CCM - Anthony Minichello
2011: Warriors 24 def. Eagles 10
Warriors triumph to win their 2nd title, downing the Eagles. Simon Mannering and Sean Johnson get a ring, as does James Maloney, who will not win another. Ivan Cleary wins a title as coach. CCM - Michael Luck
2012: Bulldogs 14 def. Storm 4
Michael Ennis leads the Dogs to a title, their first since 95. Josh Jackson, James Graham, Josh Reynolds and Ben Barba get a ring. Finucane gets his first with the Dogs as well. Storm still looking for a 2nd title. CCM - Kris Keating
2013: Eagles 26 def. Roosters 18
After losing their previous 2 grand finals the Eagles get their first since 07. DCE and Foran get a ring, as does Geoff Toovey as coach. SBW misses out again. Mitchell Pierce wins man of the match despite playing on the losing side. CCM - Mitchell Pierce
2014: Bulldogs 30 def. Rabbitohs 6
Dogs get their 2nd in 3 years even missing Ennis through injury and Souths fail to break their 40+ year drought. David Klemmer gets a ring and Hasler gets his 2nd as Dogs coach. Greg Eastwood goes down in folklore by fracturing his cheekbone in the first hit up and goes on to win man of match. Greg Inglis misses out and will eventually retire with zero rings. CCM - Greg Eastwood
2015: Broncos 17 def. Cowboys 16
Broncos get their first title since 98. Skipper Justin Hodges goes out a winner. Darius Boyd gets a ring after missing out twice before. Anthony Milford also gets a ring, as does Ben Hunt, who slots the game winning field goal in golden point after Thurston fumbles a kickoff. Bennett wins another title as coach after losing the previous 3. CCM - Ben Hunt
2016: Storm 14 def. Sharks 12
Storm at long last get their 2nd (legitimate) title in a tense match. Smith and Cronk get their first ring (again), but Slater still misses out through injury. After 50 years of waiting the porch light stays on for the Sharks. Players like Paul Gallen miss out and Luke Lewis and Chris Heighington miss out on their second chance and will not get another. CCM - Kevin Proctor
2017: Cowboys 34 def. Storm 6
After barely scraping into the finals the Cowboys shock the nigh unstoppable Storm from going back to back in one of the all time upsets. Thurston is unable to chase away the demons of 2015 due to injury but Michael Morgan, Gavin Cooper and Jason Taumalolo still get their ring. CCM - Lachlan Coote
2018: Storm 21 def. Roosters 6
Storm get their 2nd in 3 years, even after Cronk defects to the Roosters. Slater finally gets a (legitimate) ring and retires, while Finucane gets his 4th. CCM - Cameron Munster
2019: Raiders 14 def. Roosters 8
Led by Jarrod Croker and coached by Ricky Stuart, the Raiders break their drought and win their first title since 94. Roosters come up short for the second year running and Cronk retires with 1 ring and having lost 3 grand finals in a row. Keary wins man of the match in a losing side. CCM - Luke Keary
2020: Panthers 26 def. Storm 20
The Panthers put 22 unanswered points on and hold off a Storm comeback to win their first title since 91. James Tamou and Apisai Korosau get rings after missing out in 15 and 14 respectively. Ivan Cleary gets his 2nd ring as a coach and takes the his son to Maccas on the way home. CCM - Dylan Edwards
Summary:
Roosters still have 4, with the Freddy years (3 from 4) being more successful than more recent team Friend (1 from 4)
Eels, Warriors and Bulldogs end up with 2 titles each instead of 1 between them.
Manly still have 2 wins and 2 losses
Cowboys have 2 instead of 1
Storm have 2 instead of 3. 2 other wins are still stripped, this time at the expense of the Broncos and Manly (again).
Raiders have 1 instead of zero
Panthers break even with 1 win and 1 loss
Broncos get 1 win and 2 losses, instead of the opposite
Tigers, Bunnies, Dragons, Knights and Sharks miss out on their only chances

2020.10.26 18:57 Financial-Variation2 Dear Paramount, Spyglass, Miramax and Lantern Entertainment, If you plan on making "Scary Movie 6", here are ways to make it the right way

Unofficial logo
Back when the "Scary Movie" series was owned by Dimension Films (Bob and Harvey Weinstein), the first few movies were released every other year. And, in between the films there has been bad business moves.
For example: The Weinsteins tried to pay the Wayans family less money than they deserved for "Scary Movie 3", resulting in their exit. The Weinsteins even tried to ask the Wayans family to return for "Scary Movie 5", but the Wayans declined. So instead, we ended up getting stuck with David Zucker and Pat Proft and the watered down PG-13 rating.
Another example of a bad business move: The Weinsteins decided "Scary Movie 5" was gonna be a reboot. According to Anna Faris in a 2011 interview, she said she wanted to return but no executive producer approached her. Three new writers were hired to write the script, and they sent out offers to Regina Hall, Anthony Anderson and Kevin Hart. But then the Weinsteins hired David Zucker and Pat Proft back to rewrite the script, while Malcolm D. Lee was hired to direct. And fans of the franchise learned that Anna Faris or Regina Hall were not returning. Neither were Anthony Anderson or Kevin Hart. A majority of audiences decided not to see the film. The first trailer had negative responses, but it was said the original cut (done before reshoots directed by David Zucker) had a really good response, and was gonna be rated R. But the reshoots were done at the last minute for PG-13. This resulted in negative reviews, and the film being a box office bomb. And the Blu-Ray and DVD only had 8 deleted scenes out of all the footage that was shot.
So this brings me to my ideas of how the next "Scary Movie" film should be properly made.
  1. Anna Faris and Regina Hall MUST return. They should be paid properly as well. Anna Faris was the main character Cindy Campbell with her best friend Brenda Meeks played by Regina Hall in the first four movies. The fifth film failed without them. Their return to the franchise can draw audiences back in. They should NOT just be cameos.
  2. The Wayans family need to be involved again, but if not, at least hire intelligent writers who are great at writing comedy films. But please, DO NOT hire David Zucker or Pat Proft. Their writing and directing of the previous installments have been declining, and driving audiences away. The toilet humor doesn't need to go overboard. The script needs to be insanely hilarious. My suggestion is that we get the Wayans family back on board, or somebody who is really good at writing comedy films.
  3. In terms of spoofing movies, horror movies should be the main focus. If the writing team plans on doing movies that came out in the recent years, I have a few suggestions in terms of the movies they should spoof (Whatever you do, DO NOT wait until the last possible minute to work on reshoots):
⦁ If you plan on releasing it sometime in 2021, They should poke fun at the remakes of "Child's Play", "IT", or "Pet Semetary" alongside the popular modern films like "A Quiet Place", "Annabelle Comes Home", "Happy Death Day 2U", "Get Out", "You Should Have Left" or "The Invisible Man".
⦁ If you plan on releasing it in 2022 or 2023, The writing team should poke fun at these upcoming movies: "Scream 5", "A Quiet Place Part II", "The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It", "Spiral", "Candyman", or "Halloween Kills".
⦁ No matter the release date, my third suggestion is that the film should focus on CLASSIC horror movies, not remakes of those movies: "Psycho", "Silence of The Lambs", "The Shining", "Nightmare On Elm Street", "Carrie", "The Birds", or the first few installments of "Child's Play".

  1. The film must be rated R like the first two movies. A lot of comedy fans are turned off by films that are rated PG-13 due to the watered down humor nowadays. Audiences find R-rated comedies funnier than PG-13 comedies.
  2. The film has to be outrageously hilarious. The plot has to be cohesive with the movies that are being parodied. As far as the jokes go, they have to work on their own as well. If you plan on using pop culture references, I suggest only have like 2-7 of them. But please DO NOT overdo it. The first couple "Scary Movie" installments kept it in moderation. But "Scary Movie 4" and several other spoof movies that were released in the past 15 years crammed a lot of pop culture references down the audiences throats. "Scary Movie 5" had a lot of pop culture references that are not relevant anymore. Too much pop culture defeats the purpose of a spoof comedy film. So, in the new installment, there should only be a little bit of pop culture references here and there. The film should not be plagued by poop jokes or fart jokes every 5 minutes.
  3. In terms of continuity, this film should ignore the events of "Scary Movie 5" because it was not canon, and it had nothing to do with the first four "Scary Movie" installments. Audiences did not like that film anyway. This film should follow up after either "Scary Movie 4", or if it should be a retcon sequel following up after either "Scary Movie 3", or "Scary Movie 2".
  4. As far as casting, hire the most hilarious actors and actresses. And these the characters of the first four installments of which whom I suggest should return for the new addition to the "Scary Movie" franchise:
⦁ Anna Faris as Cindy Campbell
⦁ Regina Hall as Brenda Meeks
⦁ Shawn Wayans as Ray Wilkins
⦁ Marlon Wayans as Shorty Meeks
⦁ Cheri Oteri as Gail Hailstorm
⦁ Dave Sheridan as Doofy Gilmore
⦁ Anthony Anderson as Mahalik
⦁ Kevin Hart as CJ
⦁ Christopher Kennedy Masterson as Buddy
⦁ Simon Rex as George Logan
⦁ Kathleen Robertson as Theo
⦁ Chris Elliott as Hanson
⦁ Craig Bierko as Tom Ryan
⦁ Drew Mikuska as Cody
  1. If anything, this should be the final installment of the franchise. If not, you should end it at part 7. But I suggest this film wrap up the series.
As you can see, this is how I suggest the next installment of "Scary Movie" should be. I'm wishing you luck on your success of your current and upcoming films that you are working on.
Stay safe and healthy.
Yours truly,
A fan of the first few Scary Movie films

2020.10.26 10:17 Camolettino What is replacing Craigslist’s Personals?

There is none. When you use the term “alternative,” you imply parity, equality, sameness.
Craig Newmark was no great genius. He was simply present when the web was in it's early seminal stage and started an online bulletin board for his friends.
For years, it grew virally, as most successful social media sites do, because ads and postings were carefully vetted by Newmark and his staff in order to maintain quality so that paid advertising could be attracted.
Unfortunately, once it reached a certain plateau, he obviously made the decision that continued monitoring would be prohibitively expensive and the site began to deteriorate until it reached the point where it was about as reliable as a Nigerian call center.
It's amazing to me that no one else has jumped into that space. Historically, the 'poor man's variant was Backpage, now closed because of the prostitution ads.
But as for the best hookup dating sites - I like these ones:

Good luck

Good Afternoon!
UPDATED Major Film Studio - Release Schedule

💰EARNINGS WEEK💰

NETFLIX
  • Total Revenue: 6.4B (up 23% YOY)
  • Operating Costs: 5.1B (up 21% YOY)
  • Operating Income: 1.3B (up 33% YOY)
NFLX SUB UPDATES: 195M global (up 23% YOY)
Sarandos Wisdom:
Sarandos said the shutdown of movie theaters in the U.S. and elsewhere due to COVID-19 has created “short-term opportunities” in terms of films to acquire from studios. But he said the subtraction of theatrical from Hollywood’s equation won’t last forever. “I wouldn’t look at this as being that radical a change,” he said, and didn’t see PVOD or other forms of distribution totally supplanting the traditional model.
“Consumers’ desire to see films at home has been growing and we’ve been able to satisfy it,” he said. “At some point, theaters are going to reopen and people are going to go back to theaters. I hope so. I’m a fan of doing it myself.”
WARNER BROS. (AT&T)
  • Theatrical Revenue: 1.07B (down 23% YOY)
  • Total Revenue: 2.4B (down 28% YOY)
  • Operating Costs: 2B (down 27% YOY)
  • Operating Income: 395M (down 33% YOY)
HBOMAX SUB UPDATES: 8.6M U.S. activated out of 28.7M eligible HBO TV subs (up 210% from previous quarter).

NO TIME TO DIE STREAMING SALE RUMORS

The Big Picture: A leak from film critic Drew McWeeny sparked a war of info from publications on whether MGM considered offers from Apple & Netflix to acquire streaming rights from No Time to Die.
  • Who owns what?: MGM has domestic theatrical, global digital home ent, and global TV rights. Universal has international theatrical and global physical home ent rights.
  • What is fact?: Bloomberg confirmed both Apple & Netflix had discussions with MGM to acquire No Time to Die, but report insiders say MGM is committed to theatrical.
  • What is fiction?: What was being specifically offered and how much. McWeeny claimed he heard at least 600M was being offered, but unclear if it was global streaming rights or more and whether Universal was involved. Bond fansite MI6 HQ claims those offers were actually 200-250M for just U.S. streaming rights, but did not indicate a time limit. Deadline’s Mike Fleming Jr flipped the story claiming it was MGM that shopped a 1 year streaming license of NTTD for 600M and were counter offered for half.
  • Both Deadline and The Ankler’s Richard Rushfield corroborate EON Chief/Bond Producer Barbara Broccoli’s apathy towards a streaming sale, but it’s unclear how much authority she has to end talks. Broccoli friend Amy Pascal is on MGM’s board of directors and MGM MPG Chair Mike De Luca is a pro-theatrical executive.
  • Is a sale realistic?: No. While some of MGM’s shareholders have long desired a sale, Board Chair and Anchorage Capital Group manager Kevin Ulrich has not budged on his desire to continue to grow the company (even in the wake of WSJ hit pieces). In 2018, Ulrich fired then-CEO Gary Barber for trespassing on the issue and since installed a theatrical megaproducer as Studio Chief in De Luca to aggressively develop films and expand MGM’s library. Any decisions on No Time to Die will be done with the intent to boost company value, not generate short term cash flow (MGM reported an operating income of 40M and 791M in cash last quarter).

RIP QUIBI

The Big Picture: Jeffrey Katzenberg & Meg Whitman have officially thrown in the towel on Quibi 6 months after launch.
$1.75B went in and after paying bills, only $350M will come out of the failed venture. The service ends on Dec. 1st. 250 employees are jobless. Content will be shopped around, but there is no guarantee for a new home.
Rather than recap the saga, here’s my recommended reading on the Quibi failure. All of these are lean/short pieces, but full of wisdom.

WARNERMAX SHAKEUP

The Big Picture: Ann Sarnoff & Casey Bloys consolidate all feature film production under Warner Bros’ Toby Emmerich, as they shutter HBOMAX’s Original Film unit.
Original Films EVP, Jessie Henderson exits while SVP, Nikki Ramey joins Richard Brener’s New Line.
The Original Films unit in Jul 2019 was created under the John Stankey/Bob Greenblatt/Kevin Reilly regime of WarnerMedia to produce a slate of feature films for HBOMAX. However, it was independent of the Warner Bros team and conflicts arose. Kim Masters reported at the time Henderson made offers to agents that films produced for MAX could get a theatrical release & prestige marketing without consulting the WB team. A compromise was reached that Henderson would report to senior execs at HBOMAX & WB and films would be released under a new label - WarnerMax. However, this was untenable. Greenlight required approval from both Kevin Reilly & Toby Emmerich with Rachel Lee Goldenberg’s Unpregnant being the only film produced. An American Pickle and Charm City Kings were acquisitions from Sony Pictures, while The Witches and upcoming Superintelligence came from WB.
Current WarnerMedia boss Jason Kilar has spent the summer & fall streamlining creative and business responsibilities throughout the company focusing creative under three execs: Casey Bloys (HBO, HBOMax,TNT/TBS/truTV), Toby Emmerich (WB Pictures), and Channing Dungey (WB Television).

🎦Trailer Track🎦

  • Carlos López Estrada & Don Hall’s Raya and the Last Dragon (Disney)
  • Paul Greengrass’ News of the World (Universal)
  • David Fincher’s Mank (Netflix)

☕Coffee's for Closers 🤝

  • PAR - Emma Watts officially hires Jeremy Kramer to be President, Paramount Players and promotes Ashley Brucks as Sr. EVP, Paramount Players. (Deadline)
  • HULU - Rebecca Campbell steals U.S. rights to Sony’s Kristen Stewart/Mackenzie Davis romcom Happiest Season. Deadline
  • WB - Courtney Valenti snags Ben Wheatley to direct The Meg 2. (THR)
  • UNI - Peter Cramer locks in Simon Kinberg to write/produce a Battlestar Galactica adaptation. (THR)
  • SONY - Sanford Panitch buys Studio 8’s family comedy package Adulting (THR)

  • SONY - Elizabeth Gabler assembles Olivia Newman (D), Lucy Alibar (W), Hello Sunshine (P) and Daisy Edgar-Jones (A) for an adaptation of Where the Crawdads Sing. (Deadline)
What's next?: More earnings reports this week - Universal (Comcast) and Sony.

2020.10.25 19:31 creamothy Review: How A Garfield's Kentucky Spirit Pick lead to a dream-like fantasy involving two Bourbon legends, and how I've accepted this about myself.

Review: How A Garfield's Kentucky Spirit Pick lead to a dream-like fantasy involving two Bourbon legends, and how I've accepted this about myself.
I grew up in Louisville, KY. If you meet me, I'll pronounce it for you so you know I'm legit. My grandpa was born and raised in Loretto, KY. My grandma is from Nelson County. Until I was 13, my father worked for Brown-Forman, and would take me to see the Old Forester and Early Times barrels getting charred at Bluegrass Cooperage. I first tasted mash out of a tun when I was barely old enough to peek over the top of it. Our fourth grade field trip was to Star Hill Farms, and the tour ended with a personal visit with Bill Samuels, Sr. I remained convinced to this day that Mr. Samuels would have given out samples to me and my classmates without hesitation, if not for the watchful eye of our teachers and chaperones.
Why give you, my fellow Whiskagoans--residents of my beloved adopted city--so much historic exposition? Because I need you to know my bourbon bonafides before you hear what I have to say about this Kentucky Spirit store pick I bought impulsively at my local Garfields. Bear with me--there's a lot more flowery and arguably unnecessary exposition and context to come.
One thing I love about bourbon is that identical mashbills that are aged in different areas of the rick, for different times, across different seasons, etc. can deliver such differing experiences. And the tension among us enthusiasts between consistency and uniqueness among our favorite appellations is a discussion I enjoy participating in. Another thing I love about bourbon is the characters (rogues' gallery?) associated with it's history. From Elijah Craig to Col. Taylor, to Julian Van Winkle, Jr. and Elmer T. Lee (it's actually against KY to merely refer to him as 'Elmer Lee') there's no shortage of interesting and controversial figures that have made their mark on this unique spirit.
In contemporary times, there are several people that are continuing this tradition of reverence and innovation. Among those most well known are Freddie Noe and Eddie Russell--two giants of bourbon who have successfully carved out their own identities outside of the long shadows of their fathers. Beam and Wild Turkey have put out some fantastic releases, and have largely--kind of like Freddie and Eddie themselves--successfully navigated the perceptions brought by being "owned" by larger distributors and conglomerates, namely Suntory and Campari group. This is the great paradox of bourbon in 2020--we value the small, nimble, independent spirits (pun intended) of master distillers but also tacitly acknowledge that doing this at scale is the best way to guarantee a good product. Craft distilleries (unlike their beer-ish counterparts) have failed to demonstrate, for the most part, an ability to produce anything approaching the quality and excitement of the big guys. (The "MGP workaround" has proven to be an interesting counterargument here, but that's for a different, later, similarly long-winded rant).
Ok, are you still with me? So there I was, in my local Garfields, looking for the Makers' limited SE4-RC6 release (which I later snagged) and striking out. The gentleman behind the counter recommended the Kentucky Spirit store pick, of which one remained. I looked at the April 2020 bottling date, and the smiling (I'm assuming--we had masks on), helpful face of the Garfields' attendant, and I caved. I brought it home, and cracked it. Neat in a Glencairn, obviously. What am I, some sort of gin-swilling barbarian?
Two whiskeys that I've loved and loved over this season have been Rare Breed 116.8 and Knob Creek 12 year. Rare Breed is, in my opinion, neck and neck with Old Forester 1920 for higher proof, readily available (for now--damn you secondary markets) bourbons, and Knob 12 is, again in my opinion, the epitome of the Beam expression--funky, peanutty goodness. Don't waste your time with Knob 15, btw.
So there I am, nose and top lip in a Glencairn, with a neat pour of the aforementioned Kentucky Spirit Pick that's been aerated for about 15 minutes. I detected some vanilla, and a little spice. And there it was. Subtle at first, but unmistakable: peanuts. A sip, washed around the tongue with a few sharp inhales--delicious caramel, baking spice, a slight oakiness--and a swallow. Peanuts. A second and a third sip: couldn't shake it, although it was delightful. By my third pour, I was convinced (and loudly explaining to my forlorn wife, who's really more of a wine person) that Freddie and Eddie had secretly collaborated on this specific barrel, maybe even just for me.
I went to sleep that night conflicted. I love bourbon, and I consider myself to be less conservative than some bourbon folk. Despite my KY roots, I like some MGP expressions (HW MND, which I got from Warehouse lives up to the hype) and don't consider them less-than their KY-bred counterparts. But when I pour a Knob Creek, I expect some peanuts. When I pour a kickin' chicken, I don't. In a world where few things are consistent, I crave the security that comes with that notion. This Kentucky Spirit store pick had thrown my world into a loop.
Later that night, I dreamt that Freddie and Eddie were drinking a dram from this same barrel, and laughing--good naturedly--to themselves. In the dream, we were friends as well. They slapped me a lot on the back as we sipped--likely a Freudian analog to my own issues with my father. The dream wasn't sexual in any way, but if it had gone in that direction, then some additional Kentucky Spirit would've helped salve the conflict I would have inevitably felt.
Anyway, can you still find this April 2020 pick from Garfields? I have no idea. Should you? I would recommend to anyone who wants to dream of sipping a peanut-tinged Wild Turkey with two of the greats, potentially clothing optional.

Rating: Better than many picks I've had. Get it for the experience, and also it really does taste good. I'm not going to give a number scale--I can't understand the ones that are posted on real, actual reviews.
Proof (again, pun intended):

2020.10.24 17:00 Morgans-Station Morgan's Station Release

Not with this formatting, but the following words are what will appear on the back cover of the upcoming book Morgan’s Station. With a tentative release date of April 1, 2021 (The anniversary of the attack.) I look forward to what I hope will be many speaking engagements, interviews, and book signings. Some of which are already tentatively scheduled. Please continue to follow for times and locations, as I will announce once confirmed. And as always, Thank you.
Back Book Cover—
I was completely captivated! The characters are weaved into historical events and make the reader feel as if they are experiencing them. It is obvious that the author has taken great pains to be accurate in the most minute of details which adds greatly to the depth of his work. The only negative I can think of is that there’s an ending, as I wanted to keep reading!
—Dave Charles
A perfect book to take a step back into the past of Kentucky’s frontier. Bishop’s illustrations create an on-edge experience filling you with a whirlwind of emotions. Feel fear, joy, loss, and love, as Native American’s and pioneers, leading up to and following the battle of Morgan’s Station.
—Nathan Williams
From beginning to end, this book will keep you entertained. From the anticipation of the attack on Morgan’s Station, to the despair and challenges of the escape and tracking afterward. The best part is the book was written to allow you to feel connected to both the settlers and the Indians. It’s a tragedy, it’s a love story, it’s a journey of personal development, and it’s a history lesson. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I cannot wait to read the author’s next one.”

are thankfully received, and Printing in its different branches done with care and expedition:
_______________________________________________________________________
On Monday evening last, Morgan's Station on Slate Creek, was taken and burnt by a party of thirty-five Indians; Two of the inhabitants were killed and nineteen taken prisoner; they were pursued, and within about thirty miles the whole of the prisoners were found tomahawked and scalped, one of which (a woman) was found alive and in her senses, after being tomahawked and two scalps taken off. — we have the above information from the husband of the unfortunate woman.
_______________________________________________________________________
The above is the actual article printed after the attack. Only, Robert Craig’s, a fraught husband and grieving father, description of events came from desperation. Not all the prisoners were killed during the Indian’s escape from Morgan’s Station, and their pursuit did not end within about thirty miles of the attack. Negotiations won back several of the enslaved over the following years. But then, it is also true some were never heard from or seen again. Open up the book, step back in time, become a frontiersman or woman, and see Eastern Kentucky as you have never seen it before in a true American story about the struggle for Western expansion on the Kentucky frontier- , Morgan’s Station.

SNHD states the spike in case counts is related to the spike in tests done. 9,655 tests were done on Thursday. Typically 8,000 to 10,000 test reports are processed per day.
-------
"Daily case counts reflect newly reported cases and may represent cases that were tested in the preceding days, which could significantly impact the count on days when a relatively large number of laboratory reports arrive in one day." SNHD confirmed they are not counting COVID-19 antibody positives into their COVID-19 positive case counts.
Source.

2020.10.23 23:09 latertater1 Dating while sober

Hi, I have been a long time lurker and am finally alcohol free for three weeks. Never a really heavy drinker but definitely a daily drinker. I have totally lost my interest to drink (and ten pounds btw) after reading ‘AlcoholLied to Me’ by Craig Beck. The kind comments that I have read here have also helped immensely... I have been divorced for several years and have half- heartedly tried online dating and previously indicated that I drank socially. Now that I am committed to being sober I have changed my status to non drinker and I am afraid that women might find this to be a problem. I really don’t see any other non drinkers out there... Am I better off just stating that I am a social drinker and just not drink?

2020.10.23 05:59 Watchdogs66 Our "Drive to 245": The Twenty-Seventh Step (Second Quarter)

The Drive To 245: Deprive the GOP In 25

In 2014 and with 234 House seats, the NRCC launched the “Drive to 245” campaign for the 2014 midterms, which focused on securing 245 seats for the 114th Congress. At the close of the midterms, they ended up picking up 13 seats, putting their new majority to 247 seats, 2 seats above the goal. For the majority of this election cycle, we had at least 234 House seats to start with, until a turncoat in disguise switched to the GOP in December 2019 (get fucked Jeff Van Drew) and we lost one of our districts in a May 2020 special election (get your act together Christy Smith). Despite these setbacks, getting to 245 seats in the next election is possible for us to achieve, if we are smart about it.

In late November 2018, I began by compiling an initial list of 25 potential districts that could give us the necessary gains for us to make the necessary net gain of 10 seats to fulfill our “Drive to 245” campaign goal. I then outlined the state representatives and state senators that we have on our side that live within (or at least represent a good portion of) the identified districts in the second step, which was split into parts one and two. These local officials are often our first line of offense when it comes to selecting appropriate candidates to flip GOP congressional districts, as these people often start out with significant amounts of name recognition (at least compared to most political novices), developed campaign infrastructures, and established donor networks to draw on. In the third step, I explored four different ways that these state representatives and state senators can help promising candidates build a solid platform to flip these 25 districts, even if we are not able to recruit any of these seasoned individuals themselves. I then proceeded to identify every individual local county Democratic organization within in each of these 25 districts to determine how much of a viable network exists towards flipping any of these districts, and whether any of them appear to be fledgling and underfunded, which was split into parts one, two, and three. I then proceeded to draw up rough battle plans to recruit the best candidates that are suitable towards making the necessary gains for the proposed 245 House seats, which I covered in parts one, two, and three. Since then, I updated my list of 25 districts to better reflect the developments that have occurred since November 2018, as well as the candidates from our end that have filed in those districts. After that, I covered updated game plans for the updated 25 districts, which was again split into parts one, two, and three. Another comprehensive update to the list was conducted in early July to account for the GOP retirements, lack of Democratic candidate recruitment for several districts, and other remarkable events that have occurred, all of which have been documented in said update. From there, more detailed plans were made that illustrated the overall status of the Democratic campaigns for each of these districts, which can be found in parts one, two, three, and four. These plans also highlighted which candidates appeared to have the most organized campaigns for each district, and which ones out of these strongest candidates needed the most assistance in terms of fundraising. Donation plans were also made that could sufficiently help out these struggling candidates, if every active user of this subreddit took part. After that, I provided a detailed plan for defending our 5 most endangered Democratic incumbents for this cycle. I next discussed the different methods that volunteers can help out a campaign, and what good campaigns should provide in such activities to optimize their voter outreach effectiveness, both of which can be found in parts one and two. In October 2019, I then provided another comprehensive review of the 25 districts that are the most likely to flip blue and the ideal strategies to accomplish that goal, which can be found in parts one, two, three, and four. After that, I provided an update on the overall status of our top 5 most endangered incumbents, and posted a rescue plan to help out the least financially stable campaigns, both of which can be found in this post. My next step provided day-by-day calendars highlighting volunteer events within the targeted 25 districts that helped participants develop vital Democratic infrastructure in those areas. These calendars, which ran from October 31 to January 15, can be found in parts one, two, three, and four. In late January, I gave a third update on the top 5 incumbents to defend this cycle. At the start of February 2020, I gave a fresh analysis of the 25 districts with the best chances of going blue, which are provided in parts one, two, three, and four. I then jumped to a day-by-day calendar of volunteer events of congressional campaigns operating throughout the 25 districts, which was originally planned to be released in four parts. However, the quickly deteriorating COVID-19 situation has forced this series to be suspended halfway through this step. The two calendars provided in this step, which ran from February 7 to March 19, can be found here and here. In April 2020, I provided an updated study of the 25 districts with the highest chances of flipping as well as the optimal strategies for each of these districts, which was delivered in parts one, two, three, and four. Later in May 2020, I provided another update on the top 5 incumbents to defend this cycle and their performances. I subsequently proceeded in June 2020 to provide a list of the competitive state house and state senate districts that overlapped one of the 30 congressional districts that this series targeted or defended, which was delivered in parts one, two, three, and four. Starting in late July 2020, I provided an updated perspective of the 25 districts with the highest chances of flipping as well as the optimal strategies for each of these districts, all of which were provided in parts one, two, three, and four. Shortly thereafter in August 2020, I provided a fresh update on the campaign status of the top 5 incumbents to defend this cycle. From there, I supplied a fresh view on the status of our campaigns in competitive state house and state senate districts that overlapped one of the 30 congressional districts that was targeted or defended by this series, which was given in parts one, two, three, and four. Next, I provided a calendar highlighting the important dates for the congressional campaigns operating within the 30 districts targeted and defended by this series. In October 2020, I provided a final comprehensive review of the 25 districts with the highest chances of flipping as well as the optimal strategies to pursue for each of these districts, which was delivered in parts one, two, three, and four. Shortly thereafter, I provided a final update on the general standing of the top 5 incumbents to defend this cycle.

This step will provide a final update on the competitive state house and state senate districts that lie within or near the 30 congressional districts that this series is either targeting or defending. These state legislative districts are grouped by state, and were then listed in the order of the related congressional districts’ overall priority, which is roughly based on factors such as whether there is an important up-ballot statewide race (Presidential or Senate) to support and the overall competitiveness of the congressional districts in question. Given the overall length of these strategies, this step will be split into four quarters. In this step’s first quarter, a list of competitive state legislative districts located in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New York was provided.
In this second quarter, target legislative districts situated in Oklahoma, Utah, South Carolina, and New Mexico will be examined. Every state legislative district listed in this post will include its current controlling party (D or R), incumbent’s name (or an OPEN indication if said incumbent is retiring), experimentally calculated Cook PVI, the CNalysis rating given at the time of this writing, and the congressional districts that it overlaps with. The Democratic nominee’s campaign website and latest fundraising numbers will also be provided, as well as the latest fundraising numbers of the GOP opponent. At the end of each state’s group of legislative districts, a summary of the status of our campaigns there will be delivered.
Some candidates are indicated with a minus or a plus, which indicates the overall quality of their campaign websites according to criteria that was listed in the twentieth step of this series.

Oklahoma:
HD-83 (D, Chelsey Branham, R+10, Tilt D): OK-05
Chelsey Branham (+): $52,800, https://www.chelseybranham.com/ GOP: Eric Roberts: $45,888
Summary: According to the pre-runoff reports, Chelsey Branham is raising a decent amount for the lone competitive State House race in Oklahoma, and is also currently leading her GOP opponent Eric Roberts in the fundraising department. Really nothing to see at this moment.
Utah:
HD-33 (R, Craig Hall, D+1, Tilt R): UT-04
Fatima Dirie (+): $45,137, https://www.votefatima.com/ GOP: Craig Hall: $108,013
HD-38 (R, Eric Hutchings, R+6, Tilt R): UT-04
Ashlee Matthews (+): $42,277, http://www.ashleeforutah.com/ GOP: Eric Hutchings: $65,407
HD-43 (R, Cheryl K. Acton, R+12, Tilt R): UT-04
Diane Lewis (-): $66,522, https://dianelewiscampaign.com/ GOP: Cheryl K. Acton: $27,818
HD-45 (R, Steven Eliason, R+8, Lean R): UT-04
Wendy Davis (+): $58,771, https://www.wendydavisutah.com/ GOP: Steven Eliason: $66,179
HD-47 (R, Steve Christiansen, R+15, Lean R): UT-04
Scott Bell (+): $26,355, https://scottbellforutahhd47.com/ GOP: Steve Christiansen: $51,767
Summary: The 2020 General and the Received Contributions reports show that the Democratic nominees in HD-33, HD-38, HD-43, and HD-45 have all broken the $40,000 fundraising mark, which is generally the amount that a winning State House campaign should raise. With the exception of HD-43, however, all of the Democratic nominees are being outraised by their respective GOP incumbents. The one race to pay attention to in this state is HD-47. The Democratic nominee, Scott Bell, has posted a respectable fundraising amount, but is being outraised by the district’s GOP incumbent, Steve Christiansen, according to the total fundraising numbers calculated from the 2020 General and the Received Contributions reports. Small dollar donations to Scott Bell’s campaign can close the moderate fundraising gap and noticeably improve our chances of flipping this district.
South Carolina:
SD-41 (R, Sandy Senn, R+6, Tilt D): SC-01
Sam Skardon (+): $307,203, https://samskardon.com/ GOP: Sandy Senn: $200,592
SD-43 (R, George Campsen, R+8, Lean R): SC-01
Richard Hricik (+): $239,872, https://www.richardforsc.com/ GOP: George Campsen: $283,375
SD-44 (R, OPEN, R+10, Lean R): SC-01
Debbie Bryant (+): $103,469, https://www.debbieforsenate.com/ GOP: Brian Adams: $41,459
HD-15 (D, J.A. Moore, R+3, Tilt D): SC-01
J.A. Moore: $39,802, https://jamooreforsc.com/ GOP: Samuel Rivers Jr.: $9,349
HD-114 (R, Lin Bennett, R+11, Lean R): SC-01
Ed Sutton (+): $91,037, https://suttonforsc.com/ GOP: Lin Bennett: $54,021
HD-115 (D, Spencer Wetmore, R+7, Lean D): SC-01
Spencer Wetmore (+): $97,688, https://spencerwetmore.com/ GOP: Josh Stokes: $10,586
HD-116 (D, OPEN, D+1, Lean D): SC-01
Chardale Murray (-): $7,316, https://murrayschouse116.wixsite.com/website GOP: Carroll O’Neal: $795
HD-117 (D, Krystle Matthews, R+3, Lean D): SC-01
Krystle Matthews (+): $35,681, https://www.krystleforsc.com/ GOP: Jordan Scott Pace: $18,746
Summary: Over in the State Senate races, Sam Skardon and Richard Hricik have posted excellent fundraising numbers in their SD-41 and SD-43 runs so far, according to the October 10 reports. However, Richard Hricik is still getting outraised by the SD-43 GOP incumbent George Campsen. The State House races also have some notable observations. Democratic nominees Ed Sutton in HD-114 and Spencer Wetmore in HD-115 have posted exceptionally high fundraising numbers in the October 10 reports. Spencer Wetmore’s performance can somewhat be explained from her previous victory in a special election for this particular State House district. Overall, all of our candidates running in the races listed in this state are in good standing.
New Mexico:
SD-29 (R, Gregory Baca, EVEN, Lean R):
Paul Baca (-): $82,389, https://paul4nm.com/ GOP: Gregory Baca: $45,110
SD-30 (D, OPEN, D+1, Lean D):
Pamela Cordova (-): $145,642, https://www.pamcordovaforsenate.com/ GOP: Joshua A. Sanchez: $42,634
SD-35 (R, OPEN, R+6, Lean R):
Neomi Martinez-Parra (+): $165,108, https://neomi4nmsenate.com/ GOP: Crystal Diamond: $187,093
HD-53 (D, Willie Madrid, EVEN, Lean D):
Willie Madrid (-): $31,733, http://www.williemadrid53.com/ GOP: Ricky Little: $30,112
HD-63 (R, Martin Ruben Zamora, R+5, Lean R):
Randal Brown (-): $96,359, https://drbrownfornm63.com/ GOP: Martin Ruben Zamora: $69,541
Summary: According to the Second General reports, Pamela Cordova and Neomi Martinez-Parra, the Democratic nominees in SD-30 and SD-35, have raised over $100,000 for their State Senate campaigns, which is generally the goal for a winning State Senate campaign in New Mexico to achieve. However, Neomi Martinez-Parra is still getting outraised by her GOP opponent, Crystal Diamond. We are in very excellent condition for the two State House races listed for this state, as both our Democratic nominees have raised over $31,000 for their campaigns, which is generally the winning baseline for a State House campaign to achieve. In short, we are making stellar progress in the state legislative races in New Mexico.

And thus we come the end of this step’s second quarter. The third quarter will identify key districts in Texas, Ohio, Illinois, Florida, and Indiana. After that, the final quarter will cover competitive districts in California, Colorado, Nebraska, and Montana. So stay tuned! Any corrections or comments are welcome.

None have been approved.

2020.10.22 21:29 NarcHunter2019 A year of untrustworthy behavior

My husband kiefer and I have been together for over 2 years. We met online and I waited 3 months for him to come back from the marines. We had great conversations and we went on our first date. We talk everyday.
I got pregnant right away. It all started when kiefer told me about his friends Craig and Jen.
Craig invited us to his house. He admitted to me that he was in the Army and was kicked out for drugs. I'm in the Army currently. I sat for hours about them talking about the past. I was acknowledged, yet just didn't feel right. Jen wasn't there.
We were married in June. I trusted him and never went through his phone.
At the time, I didn't know Jen. Kiefer gave me her number.
Jen offered me her wedding dress to wear at our wedding. When i never asked. She wanted to talk about breastfeeding. Which is extremely private. The second time I met Jen was at our wedding. He wanted Craig to sign as a witness. But kiefer had his father instead. As the night went on for our little get together, I felt like Jen was stuck in the past while talking to her. She again asked about breastfeeding. And as everyone else left, they hung around and talked about the past and small town things. I havent been in the area for 10 years due to college graduates school and the military.
Jen would ask me inappropriate questions or would state that kiefer needs to be snipped if i didnt like being pregnant. She wanted to come over and help organize the babies room. She also wanted to help do the baby shower website. I said no to all of these.
After our wedding, is when kiefer admitted to dating Jens twin sister, Jessica. This really hurt and I didnt say anything. He withheld that information.
The third time I met Jen is at our baby shower. She asked how many kids i would have, told me that her birth control fails her and all of her kids were accidents. She said she wanted to come in the hospital when I had the baby. I had few visitors. I told her no.
I ended up contracting that night and it was kiefer texting jen all the updates about my contracting.
Same thing when I finally gave birth. She texted kiefer that she didn't have an epidural and screamed the whole time with her kids.
Kiefer mentioned he wanted to give Craig and Jenn our baby if we passed away. I said, no. Family only.
While away with the military, in October 2019 I was 6 weeks post partum. Kiefer had the baby and went to craigs house for a party. Jessica his ex was there and her whole family. He didn't tell me this. He told me he was at his dads. I come home and the house is cleaned, and he mentioned he went to craig and jenns for a birthday party. I trusted my gut. Found text messages about jess being there. I confronted jenn about this and told her it is causing issues in our marriage. That I'm away serving my country and hes hanging out with a girlfriend and her family.
Jenn texts kiefer and he responded with not caring, that he would hang out with them regardless.
He was then invited to another party. I told him numerous times it hurt me, caused trust issues, and he needs boundaries.
He refused to quit talking to jenn and craig. Every time I go to drill, he lets craig know that he's avaliable and I'm gone. Its become a pattern. Before I go to drill and after I go to drill.
They invite him over and I hear about it from jenn. Jenn is the one telling me that kiefer and craig are chatting.
Ever since I told jenn that it makes me uncomfortable, has caused issues, and has hurt me, things have gotten worse. I was asserting that ive been cheated on before and its inappropriate that jess is there. Kiefer and i don't want to be around Jessica.
She has gotten mad at me. Ever since letting kiefer and her know my boundaries, he agrees with her. Jenn will state in the same paragraph that kiefer will never cheat and hes family. Yet get mad at me, due to boundaries.
I've told kiefer that its causing me to have panic attacks while at drill. Because I hear about things from jenn. Jenn says that I'm not invited to anything anymore.
During annual training, again while i was gone, he was invited again to a party.
Jess is saying I'm controlling and she hopes my marriage fails. As a way to create suspicion and make me wonder, she told me Jessica doesn't know the father of her baby.
Last drill I again was told by jenn that kiefer and craig were talking and that another party is probably going to happen. Its been a year of this mistrust. I left this Monday. I'm not getting established boundaries.
I get a text message from an unknown number telling me that kiefer took a picture of a womans vagina. The number disconnected. Kiefer changed his number and denies that its his friends. He thinks its an old boyfriend of mine. However, he put a lock on his phone.
His words and actions don't match up. Changing numbers, yet putting a lock on his phone, and never getting these toxic people out of our lives. I'm back, but marriage counseling is the last resort. The things he doesn't tell me come from jenn, and its out of vindictivness. Planting seeds of doubt and suspicion. Not respectful of boundaries.
I no longer care, I'm on the verge of leaving for good. I'm tired of fighting.
TLDR: husband has ties to old girlfriend, goes to a party while I'm away. Always contacts her family while I'm away at the military. Last time I left for the military I got a random text from the other woman saying he took a pic of her vagina. Ive been blocked by that number

Kneejerk United - GW6 Captain & Bench vote
Welcome back to Kneejerk United, the FantasyPL community team! This is an exercise where we enter a team into the official Fantasy Premier League competition together, with every decision being made as a group.
---
In the previous post, we asked you for transfer suggestions heading into gameweek 6 of the season. The most popular suggestion was to not make any transfers this week and instead, bank the free transfer for the following week. As such, the team remains the same and we still have £0.6m in the bank.
Our squad for GW6 is as follows:
  • Team value: £100.2m
  • In the bank: £0.6m
  • CP - current price
  • SP - selling price
  • PP - purchase price
  • F - form
  • TP - total points
  • Fix - fixture next gameweek
We have the following injury news for our squad this week:
  • Ferguson (R) - knee injury with unknown return date
  • EDIT: Rodriguez will be out this week, as confirmed by Carlo Ancelotti, however FPL has not updated this yet.
KJU - GKP & DEF
KJU - MID & FWD
---
With the team now complete, we need to get ready for gameweek 6, which starts tomorrow. In a decision almost as important as which players should even be in the side, we need to choose a captain. Please vote for your favourite choice in the poll below. The winner will be the Captain for GW6, and the runner-up will be our Vice Captain.
Note: Barring any injury news for Martinez (main keeper), we will omit Button (second keeper) from both captain and bench polls and assume that Button is automatically our bench keeper.
CAPTAIN POLL
Along with this, we need to decide which players to leave on the bench, as well as the order they will be in. Please vote for the 3 players you want on the bench (no goal keeper vote required) for GW6. The player with the most votes will be in the final bench spot, and we will follow the process forward until the bench is complete.
BENCH POLL
The polls will end tomorrow Friday October 23rd @ 17:00 BST.
---
KJU mini-league
Craig McDiarmid (Sonaldo) remains at the top of the KJU mini-league with 419 points.
Kneejerk United is currently ranked 544th in the league, climbing from 803rd last week. If you would like to join the Kneejerk mini-league, the code is 6fkzfq.
---
Kneejerk United is being managed by u/aFailG and u/chibibabymoon. If you have any suggestions or feedback regarding the team, or if you wish to be added to the notification list for future posts, please feel free to comment below or DM either of us.

None have been approved. Remdesivir and Dexamethaaone are FDA approved for emergency base use. New studies show that Remdesivir do not help in preventing COVID-19 deaths.
During Thursday (10/22) and Friday (10/23) of this week, free testing is offered at Valley High School (2839 Burnham Avenue, near Eastern and Sahara). Hours are 8am to noon. No appointment needed, bring photo id and provide a phone number. Source.
Thursday (11/5) and Friday (11/6), 8am to noon Silverado High School (1650 Silver Hawk Ave, near Spencer and I-215) will be providing free testing.
Source.
Remain mindful to give our medical community the ability to focus on those in need of their expertise to survive and combat the virus.

2020.10.21 18:08 Rsubs33 [Game Preview] Week 7 - Philadelphia Eagles(1-4-1) vs New York Giants (1-5)

Philadelphia Eagles (1-4-1) vs New York Giants (1-5)
The Eagles will host their division rival New York Giants on the national stage for Thursday night football. The Giants have struggled this season, but edged out their first win for new head coach Joe Judge last week against the Washington Football Team. On the other side, the Eagles struggled again losing their 2nd straight as they fell to the Baltimore Ravens despite a late effort by Carson Wentz and the offense. A win by either team could propel them to the top of the shit mountain that is the NFCE, if the Cowboys fall to the Redskins on Sunday. The Eagles could get some offensive reinforcements back this week With Goedert and Raegor eligible to return from the IR, Johnson, Jackson, Jeffrey working back from injuries and Matt Pryor potentially returning from the COVID-19 list. The return of any of these players will be a boost for the offense which finished last week’s game with only 2 offensive starters and many positions down to 3rd and 4th stringers. The Eagles will be without sure-handed TE Zach Ertz and dynamic running back Miles Sanders who were both injured in the second half vs Baltimore. Filling for Sanders will be Giant Killer Boston Scott who had a huge day last time these teams faced off in week 17 of 2019 where he had 3 TDs and 138 offensive yards. The Giants have had their own struggles with injuries losing running back Saquan Barkley to a knee injury early in the season and missing start OT Nate Solder due to an opt out due to COVID-19 concerns. Their offense has woefully missed these two, but they too should get a boost with the return of WR Sterling Shepard. For the Eagles to win, they will need the coaching staff to put them in the best position, something they have failed to do on both sides of the ball routinely this season. Additionally, Wentz will need to continue to carry the team and play like the QB from 2017 vs the first few games this season. I fully expect this game to be a sloppy shitshow filled with bad football that goes down to the wire per NFCE tradition. Go Birds!

Eagles 34 - Giants 17
Wentz led to his fourth straight must-win game and the team finished an elimination game without seven starters on offense. Already missing three starting wide receivers for the fourth straight game, the Eagles also began the game without Pro Bowl tight end Zach Ertz and right tackle Lane Johnson. Then they lost running back Miles Sanders and three-time Pro Bowl right guard Brandon Brooks in the first half. But Scott, Josh Perkins, Greg Ward, Deontay Burnett and Robert Davis combined for 16 catches on 25 targets, 225 yards receiving, 54 yards rushing and four TDs. The five players were cut a combined eight times by four teams since Aug. 31. Carson Wentz threw for 289 yards, including a 24-yard TD pass to Perkins, who was promoted from the practice squad on Nov. 30. It was the Eagles’ 7th straight win vs the Giants and clinched the NFCE. Giants coach Pat Shurmur was fired the following Monday.

Eagles 23 - Giants 17
The Week 14 battle featured the Eagles facing the rival New York Giants, led by Eli Manning, who was taking over for an injured Daniel Jones. Following a scoreless first quarter, Manning opened the scoring with a 35-yard touchdown pass to Darius Slayton, giving New York a 7-0 lead. After the teams traded field goals, Manning would throw another touchdown pass to Slayton, this time from 55 yards, to build the Giants' lead to 17–3 before halftime. However, Philadelphia's defense would stifle Manning in the second half, forcing three-and-outs on four of six possessions and allowing just 30 yards total offense. The Eagles offense would step up and score 14 unanswered points over the final two quarters to force overtime. After the Eagles won the overtime coin toss, they drove down the field and won the game on Carson Wentz's second touchdown pass of the night to Zach Ertz. With the comeback win, the Eagles improved to 6–7 on the year. Further, the Eagles won their sixth straight against the Giants, and took the lead in the all-time series for the first time in franchise history. It also marked the first time since 2006 an Eagles-Giants game would go to overtime.

Recap from Last Week’s Games.
Eagles - Some questionable coaching decisions by Doug Pederson and a fumble by Carson Wentz had the Eagles behind 17-0 in the first half, the Eagles surged back with a dominant second half to pull within two points of the Ravens in the fourth quarter. However, the furious rally came up short as Carson Wentz was stopped on a would-be game-tying two-point conversion in the final two minutes. Baltimore recovered the ensuing onside kick and ran out the clock to seal the narrow 30-28 loss. With their second straight defeat, Philadelphia dropped to 1-4-1 on the season.
Giants - Even when they're struggling, the Giants can still beat the Washington Football Team. With rookie linebacker Tae Crowder scoring the winning points on a 43-yard fumble return, the Giants defeated Washington on Sunday, 20-19, for their first victory under head coach Joe Judge. Washington countered with a 22-yard touchdown pass from Kyle Allen to Cam Sims with just 36 seconds remaining. Coach Ron Rivera elected to try a two-point conversion but Allen's pass was incomplete, securing the victory for the Giants. The victory ended the Giants' six-game losing streak dating back to last season. Both teams are 1-5. Three of the Giants' last four victories have been against Washington and they have beaten their division rivals four consecutive times.

Stats to Know
Breakaway Runs! Not This Game!
The Philadelphia Eagles feature one of 2020’s top breakaway runners in Miles Sanders, with over 47.9% of his runs resulting in breakaway runs (15+ yards), good for 6th overall! That is a fun statistic! Unfortunately, Sanders is out and the Eagles Offensive Line is starting your cousin Chuck, due to a ridiculous number of injuries. That leaves the Eagles with RBs Scott and Clement, neither of which climb above 0.0%. Luckily, the Giants’ current top RB is also reaching the soaring heights of 0.0% Breakaway runs, as well. Devonta Freeman, that is. Hey, Giants fans, don’t feel bad about that too badly because...well, he was also dead last in Breakaway % last year, as well, so it’s not all your fault. Here’s to mutual understanding.
Matchups to Watch
Eagles “Weapons” vs Giants “Pass Defense”
In this year's first iteration of the NFCE cripple fight, a stoppable force meets a movable object. This matchup is the triumph of mediocre, the toilet bowl, the race to the bottom, etc etc. Eagles and Giants have a long and great rivalry, one that the Eagles finally lead after nearly 90 years of looking up at the Giants in the head to head standings. This hasn’t felt like much of a rivalry for most of the past decade or two, but I think we all get up for these games no matter our places in the standings. In typical fashion, the Eagles are decimated by injury. They can’t get out of their own way and don’t have the talent to overcome that - it’s a horrible predicament. The Giants just suck largely because they have one of the worst GMs in the NFL and a new HC that’s off to a lackluster start with a staff that fits the bill. The Eagles might see the return of Desean Jackson and debut of Alshon Jeffery on Thursday night; both additions to the gameday roster would go a long way to lifting up a terrible offense. Even without those two the Eagles should be able to score some points on the Giants as they are just a bad team. However, there are some bright spots on defense, namely James Bradberry, who has taken a sudden jump into the upper echelon of CBs. If Philly isn’t able to have Jackson and Jeffrey suit up then Bradberry will likely line up against Travis Fulgham, the Eagles lone threatening weapon. Bradberry has had an incredible start to this season and that would be a difficult matchup for Fulgham. Opposite Bradberry is a trash can, a recycling can, and a dumpster: you see why adding any capable bodies would be for the Eagles benefit. Philly will be absent Ertz and Sanders in the contest as well. Despite all this the Eagles have been able to score enough against two real teams in the Steelers and Ravens; this matchup is more conducive to success. As we all know, nothing is a given with this team. The USPS under the Trump Administration is better equipped to deliver than this Eagles team.
Eagles Offensive Line vs Giants Defensive Front
The OL Eagles are about to field is an insult to offensive lines but here we are. This is one area of the team where I wouldn’t blame the personnel department in the current climate. They stacked the team with plenty of talent, even in the face of extreme adversity, as they’ve been able to function at least a little right up until now. Lane Johnson may or may not play; that’s about the only addition the Eagles can make that would have a positive impact on the unit. What else is there to say? They are decimated with injury and very likely have their 7th different starting OL combination in as many weeks. The Giants defensive front is relatively stout, especially in the run game, where the Eagles struggle due to their OL. It’s one area the Giants have a notable advantage. What the Giants lack in EDGE rushers they make up for in defensive tackles as they have Leonard Williams, Dexter Lawrence, BJ Hill, and Davlin Thomlinson. Gettleman has never met an EDGE rusher he liked but this is a formidable interior defensive line. Sure, the Giants got swindled in pursuit of Leonard Williams, but he’s still a quality player. All four of these guys can be disruptive and control the line of scrimmage. It’s a tall ask to control this group given the personnel limitation on the Eagles offensive line. Having success upfront always gives teams an advantage and it’s the one matchup the Giants are able to exploit Thursday night. God help Jamon Brown, if Matt Pryor is not cleared on the short week. UPDATE: Brown was released we don't need to watch him and his 10.5 PFF pass blocking grade adjust his gloves midgame while Wentz is running for his life.
Eagles Defensive Line vs Giants “Offensive Line”
The only thing more garbage than the current Eagles OL is the one they are about to face on Thursday. Like the previous matchup, the Eagles DL is built to pound the utter crap out of the Giants OL. Kevin Zeitler, formally the lone bright spot on this unit, is off to a rocky 2020 and likely the worst start to a season in his otherwise good career to date. Will Hernandez, Cameron Flemming, and especially rookie Andrew Thomas have been nothing short of disastrous for the Giants so far. This unit was horrible in run blocking with a healthy Saquon Barkley running and hasn’t improved since. Daniel Jones may be the only QB running for his life more than Carson Wentz has thus far. The Eagles defense sustained another injury against the Ravens as Malik Jackson figures to be out until after the bye with a quad injury; despite his absence, the Eagles have an incredible advantage in the trenches. Fletcher Cox and Brandon Graham have been great to start 2020 and have a matchup Thursday that must have them salivating. Derek Barnett will be lining up against a bad tackle so you know he’ll be really good Thursday. The actual good EDGE opposite BG, Josh Sweat, has a favorable matchup as well. Finally, Javon Hargrave has a chance to make his first big impact with us. The Eagles DL is deep, it’s about the only thing good on this team at the moment, and has an opportunity to really control an opponent. They’ll need it as this LB room, CB2, Slot CB, and Safety groups aren’t going to suddenly become competent. Darius Slay has been as advertised but looks visibly slowed as he’s sustained injuries. The Eagles need their DL to do what was built to do: control the game. The Giants still have Golden Tate, Evan Engram (when not sucking), and Darius Slayton around and they all can easily make this defense pay. The defense goes as the DL does.
